Get Yolobox Pro NDI

I’ve just updated my YoloBox Pro to version 5.3.0, and while it’s not the same as the YoloBox Ultra or Yololiv Instream models, it now includes the much-anticipated NDI feature.

Previously, the YoloBox Ultra always had the NDI feature, but now it’s available on the YoloBox Pro as well. Let me walk you through how it works:

1. Start from the Home Screen:
– Tap the Plus button.
– Select “Create a Live Stream.”
– Enter the title of your live stream.
– Tap on “Create” and select the live stream we just created.

2. Adding the NDI Video Source:
– Tap on “Add Video Source.”
– Select NDI.
– The YoloBox Pro will now search for an NDI Source from the same Wi-Fi network.

For this demonstration, I’ll be using my iPhone with the NDI-HX camera app. Note that this app isn’t free, but it’s reasonably priced. I’ve also installed it on my Android phone. This app turns your phone into a high-quality wireless camera, but you’ll need a strong and stable Wi-Fi network for smooth video transmission.

Once the YoloBox Pro detects the NDI source, select it and tap “Done.” Then, activate NDI on your phone. Now, your phone becomes a wireless video camera, or rather an NDI remote camera. This setup allows for a 1080P video quality transmission, giving you an additional input source on top of the four physical camera inputs.

A quick note about the NDI feature on the Yolobox Pro: the free version offers a trial period of only 5 minutes. To activate the full license, you’ll need to pay $99 via PayPal to YoloLiv or through a bank transfer. Email YoloLiv with a screenshot of the payment along with your device serial number. Like most other NDI devices, there’s a one-time license fee for each device.

So, what are your thoughts on having a wireless camera for your multicam setup? If you want to find out more, hit the thumbs up and share this post. Then comment “yes” followed by what you would like me to test next.

If you haven’t done so, subscribe to the channel. See you in the next one!
