Smooth Creative Gimbal Shot Ideas
- Tilt Shot – Hold handle firmly with 2 hands. Push the joystick downwards or upwards from one subject to another at different heights.
- Pan Shot – Hold handle firmly with 2 hands. Push the joystick left or right from one subject to another.
- Jib Shot – Hold handle firmly with 2 hands. Move your arms up or down a subject.
- Slide Shot – Hold the gimbal 90 degrees to yourself and walk forwards. Ensure you shoot scenes with interest. Great for very wide scenes.
- Drone Effect Shot – Attach a boom pole at the bottom of the gimbal and shoot from high above your head.
- Push-in Shot – Hold handle firmly with 2 hands. Walk gently towards subject with knees bent. Great for emphasizing the subject.
- Pull-out Shot – Start with a close up of an object then walk backward to reveal the rest of the scene.
- Steady Talking Head – Just holding still as if the camera is on a tripod shooting a person talking.
- The Follow Shot – Follow behind a walking person over the shoulder.
- The Lead Shot – Walk backward in front of a walking person. Be careful not to hit into anything.
- Slo-Mo Shot – Use any of the above shots, but this time with the Slow Motion feature activated on the phone.
- Side Movement Shot – Walk next to a wall to add a sense of movement.
- 360-degree Shot – Simply go around your subject to reveal the surrounding.
- Motion Time Lapse Shot – Speed up time while moving the camera from one point to another.
