Using the 40m HDMI Repeater with Two 20m HDMI Cables

The best way to know if a cheap HDMI Repeater works is to buy it and test it.

I bought 4 of them because I needed HDMI joiners, and these are so affordable.

As a general rule of thumb, regular HDMI cables work up to nearly 20m distance.

With the HDMI Repeater, the signal is regenerated to extend over longer cables.

The product claims to extend transmission to 40m using high-quality HDMI cables.

In this test, I use “low-speed” (v1.4) HDMI cables to keep the costs down.

I did 3 tests:

1. Using 1 HDMI repeater
2. Using 2 HDMI repeaters in a row
3. Using 3 HDMI repeaters in a row, hoping it will extend beyond 40m

Did it work? Watch the video to see for yourself.
