It delivers high-resolution recording and superb performance even in low-light conditions and can record in various formats — including HD XAVC Long GOP (for 422 10-bit sampling), AVCHD, and DV — to meet particular needs.

Initial Setup
Menu Control
- Press the Menu Button [18]
- Select the menu options [6]
Resetting
- Go to Menu / Others / INITIALIZE / OK.
- Set the country/state and date.
Selecting NTSC/PAL
- Go to Menu / Others / 60i/50i
File Format Setting to AVCHD
- Go to Menu / Rec/Out Set / Rec Set.
- File Format / AVCHD.
- Go to Menu / Rec/Out Set / Rec Set.
- Rec Format / 1080/60p.
SD Card Formatting
- Go to Menu / Others / Media format.
- Memory Card A / OK.
- Go to Menu / Others / Media format.
- Memory Card B / OK.
Turning On Grid Lines
- Go to Menu / Display Set / Marker / Guideframe / On
Audio Setting to Internal Microphone
- Go to Menu / Audio Set / Volume / Mic Select / Int Mic / Press Menu to End.
- Check that the audiometer level indicator is jumping when sound is picked up by the internal microphone.
Manual Focus Setting
- Toggle the ZOOM/FOCUS switch on the left to FOCUS.
- Press the AF/MF button to MF.
- Adjust the manual lens ring to focus.
Manual Exposure Setting
- Toggle the AUTO/MANUAL switch at the back to MANUAL.
- Press IRIS or GAIN or SHUTTER SPEED on the left.
- Rotate the manual dial to adjust.
White Balance Manual Setting
- Switch the camera from Auto to Manual.
- Press the WHT BAL button.
- Rotate to WB position A or B.
- Press the Menu button.
- Select Camera Set / WB Set.
- Zoom in on a white color subject with the desired lighting condition.
- Press the Execute button.
- Press the Menu button to exit.
4K Format Setting
This feature can ONLY be found on the cameras with the 4K option installed.
- Go to Menu / Rc/Out Set / Rec Set.
- File Format / XAVC QFHD
- Go to Menu / Rec/Out Set / Rec Set.
- Rec Format / 2160/30p 60Mbps
