Resetting

Do this when somebody else have used the unit and you want to start from fresh.

  1. On the receiver menu, select Advanced. Press Set.
  2. Select Reset. Press Set.
  3. Select Yes. Press Set.

Scanning for new frequencies

Do this whenever you use the unit in a new venue and to check for available frequencies.

  1. On the receiver, select Easy Setup.
  2. Select Scan New List.
  3. After scanning, select the Bank with the most Free channels. ( that are 20 banks with 12 channels each)
  4. Choose one free Channel. For example Bank 13.6.
  5. Note: Ensure the transmitter is turned off while scanning. Otherwise it will be seen as one channel.

Synching the transmitter

Do this so that the frequencies on both the transmitter and the receiver are exactly the same.

  1. On the receiver menu, select Sync.
  2. Open the battery compartment doors on both the transmitter and receiver.
  3. Place the transmitter and receiver facing each other.
  4. Wait for it to sync, which is instantaneous.
  5. Check on the display that both frequencies are exactly the same.

Adjusting the levels

Do this to ensure that the audio is not too loud or too soft.

Note: Connect the receiver output to the Mic input instead of the Line input. (because the signal is not strong enough for a line input.)

  1. On the receiver menu, go to AF Out.
  2. Dial down to – 12 DB for a regular camera.
  3. On the transmitter, hook up the microphone.
  4. On the transmitter menu, select Sensitivity.
  5. Dial down to somewhere between -12 DB to – 30 DB.
  6. Speak into the microphone to make sure the audiometer doesn’t get too high.

Pilot Tone and Squelch

  1. On the receiver menu, select Squelch.
  2. Select Low.
  3. On the receiver menu, select Advanced followed by Pilot Tone.
  4. Select Active.
