The MOZA Mini MX comes with a wrist strap which I’m going to attach before I go
outdoors… so that now I can hold it with confidence.
It’s foldable and I like to carry it in my pocket without bringing an extra case.
Since this is the first time I’m using the MOZA Mini MX with the iPhone SE 2, I’m going to pair them via Bluetooth.

In this outdoor shoot, I’m going to test three of the most interesting visual effects.
INCEPTION EFFECT
Inception effect where the world flips around like in the movie… just push the joystick
left or right in the inception mode.
The rotation angle is up to 300 degrees, not 360.
While shooting this we got a surprise in the sky.
It’s a good chance to test the zoom control.
It’s digital zoom so don’t expect high-quality image when fully zoomed in. Your tiniest shake will also be magnified.
VERTIGO EFFECT
The vertigo effect, also known as the Dolly Zoom, is where the subject stays the same while the background expands or shrinks.
All I have to do is to walk towards the subject while zooming out the camera.
The MOZA Mini MX stabilizes my camera but the big advantage is how the zoom control button keeps my zooming speed consistent.
I can also walk backwards while zooming in but for now walking backwards is a challenge.
MAGIC MODE
Now, this is my favourite mode, the magic mode.
It is a set of creative guided templates.
Just choose one and follow the on-screen instructions.
The creative video clip is automatically edited on the spot with music. The limitation here is that I can’t change the music.
