What’s the Lensgo 348C wireless mic working distance range? I tested as far as 150m!😲 #wireless #Microphone #Review
What is the operating distance/range of the Lensgo 348C wireless microphone? Does it work through walls?
For this review, I needed a lot of distance. So I went outdoors to the Gardens by the Bay, next to Marina Bay Sands.
Here are 3 things I tested, based on the given specs.
- The recommended range is 20 meters – It worked, though there is a line of sight issue at 30m.
- The maximum distance on paper is 100 meters – I tested it beyond 100m and it still worked at 150m.
- Line of Sight – The wireless system works best if nothing comes in between the transmitter and receiver.
From 30m onwards, whenever I turned around and my body blocks the line of sight, the audio intermittently cuts off.

Title: Lensgo 348C Review – Dual Wireless Microphone System for iPhones and Cameras
- Opening Hook – This is the Lensgo 348C, a wireless mic with two microphones and a magnetic clip.
- The Story – How to connect two microphones to a camera or to a smartphone? One popular wired solution is to use the BOYA BY-M1DM. A popular wireless solution is the Rode Wireless Go 2. Today, I am going the explore the Lensgo 348C!
- Unboxing
- What’s in the box
- Compatibility Test
- Wireless Test – vs built-in mic, distance up to 229 feet, recommended range is 30 m know it says it can go up to 70 m. recording loud sounds
- Backup recording – In case of unwanted interference. 32GB micro SD Card Slot, record button, recording duration. Card not included.
- The Wind Muffler –
- ASMR Stereo –
- Magnetic Clip System – The magnetic clip system is the unique selling point of the Lensgo 348C wireless mic. There are 3 ways I would wear the mic. The usual clip-on method, The magnetic clip method, and The Hidden mic method. Will it fall off easily?
- Type the word “magnetic” in the comments to let me know you have the video this far.
- How to Use – pair, connect, adjust
- Battery – How long can the battery last? On paper, it says 7 hours. So I turned it on at 10:30h and used it. Let’s see if it will last to 17:30h. At about 16:20h, the power indicator starts to blink red. At 16:30 hours one transmitter shut off. Five minutes later the other transmitter shut off. The receiver also starts to show signs of shutting down with the battery indicator showing one bar to nothing. So that means my lens go 348C battery life is only six hours, brand-new without any recording going on. So I want to make sure I recharge them every five hours. How fast does it take to charge? On paper, it’s 1.5 hours. In real life, it’s ________. I started charging at 18:00h from 0% battery. The charging case is not a charger like our wireless earphones have. It needs to be plugged into a USB power supply.
- Closing CTA – Let me know what else I can test with the Lensgo 348C.
Lensgo 348C vs Rode Wireless Go 2
Price-wise, they are about the same. As of March 2022 on Amazon US, Lensgo is selling at US$245 and the Rode at US$259.
Here are the 3 main things the Lensgo 348C has that the Rode Wireless Go 2 doesn’t have.
- Removable magnetic clips – I find this very useful to attach the mic to clothes without any convenient collar to clip on.
- Micro-SD card slot- The recording on Rode is internal whereas the Lensgo records on a removable micro-SD. That means I can change the card anytime to retrieve the recording while the mic continues to do its work.
- Charging/Carry Case – It’s a carry case and a charging case. I just need to attach one USB power cable for charging. Rode gives just a pouch.
Depending on your needs, Rode Wireless Go 2 has these features.
- 200m transmission range vs 100m from Lensgo.
- Safety recording at -20db to prevent audio clipping.
- 32g vs Lensgo 40g per transmitter mic unit.
What’s the same?
- Both the battery life is about 7 hours.
- Both have windshields.
- Both work on smartphones, cameras, and computers.
