My GoPro Hero7 Black turns itself off after about one hour and it’s burning hot when I touched it.
It wasn’t even recording nor was it used in a warm environment.
I’m using the GoPro as a camera source for my TikTok live streaming using Yololiv Instream.
After some research, I found out how to solve the overheating issue.
- Remove the battery – When I stream, I like to keep the GoPro powered up with the AC power supply. I also like to have the battery inside as a back up, but it gets warm in it’s compartment.
- Lower the frame rate – I switched frame rate from 50 FPS to 24 FPS, at the resolution of 1080p.
ProTune remained turn on and Stabilizer turned off.
