How to Set Up Elgato Stream Deck with StreamYard

StreamYard supports the Elgato Stream Deck! You can assign buttons for toggling mic/camera, switching layouts, and more!

You must first have the Elgato Stream Deck installed on the computer and have an account with StreamYard.

Download the Ready-made Profile

  1. Download the Stream Deck profile here.
  2. Open up the Stream Deck software, and click the gear in the top right corner.
  3. Navigate to the file you downloaded earlier, select it, and click Open.
  4. Click to the Profiles tab, then click the arrow in the bottom right, and click “Import…”
  5. You should now have a control layout on Stream Deck.

The Go Live and Settings keys won’t work until we set these in Streamyard.

  • Bind “Go Live” and “End broadcast” both to “Shift+G”
  • Bind “Open Settings” to “Shift+O”

Creating Your Own Profile

  1. Inside a StreamYard studio, click Settings, then Hotkeys.
  2. Open up the Stream Deck software.
  3. Drag a “Hotkey” action (in the “System” group) from the right side to a button spot.
  4. Assign the hotkey to one of StreamYard’s hotkeys.
  5. Add a title in the Title field (or leave it blank), and add an icon by choosing one from your computer, or creating one with Elgato’s Keycreator.
  6. You can also download StreamYard’s official icons here!

Stream Deck Buttons Not Working?

Stream Deck buttons not working, or activating things in other apps? Make sure you’re “clicked-in” to the StreamYard window so it’s active; keypresses from the Stream Deck are sent to the currently active app.
