Frequently Asked Questions
- How do you charge for a half-day / full-day video recording?
- Our interpretation of a half-day lecture is a total of up to 4 consecutive hours. (S$800)
- Our interpretation of a full-day lecture is a total of up to 8 consecutive hours. (S$1,100)
- If a full-day lecture is followed by a night-time dinner session, that would be considered as a total of up to 12 consecutive hours. (S$1,500)
- Is set up and pack up time included in the number of hours quoted?
- By 4 or 8 consecutive hours, we mean the actual lecture duration including participants registration time, MC introduction speech and any breaks in between.
- It EXCLUDES our equipment set up time and pack up time.
- Our equipment set up time will begin 1 hour before the actual lecture start time, which is not counted in the number of hours quoted. Our pack up time is also not included in the quote. It is a given that we will take our time to pack up and is not chargeable.
- What if the actual lecture duration exceeds the number of hours quoted?
- There will be an additional charge of S$100 per extra hour.
- What is the video recording format?
- The video recording will be in high definition format.
- Crisp audio quality will be recorded directly from the lecture venue’s sound system or plugged directly on the lecturer.
- How soon will we get the edited videos?
- Within one to two weeks.
- What is “Full Feature Edit”?
- Let’s use a one-hour recording of a Professor’s speech for example. We will add a text title frame at the beginning, add a text credit frame at the ending and remove any visual/audio distractions in between. You will get a complete one-hour “cleaned-up” video ready for distribution. The goal of the Full Feature Edit is suitable for archiving and learning.
- What is “Highlight Trailer Edit”?
- Let’s use a one-hour recording of a Professor’s speech for example. We will pick the best parts of the footage with client’s input and compile them into a shorter version, usually 1 to 5 minutes long, with texts and background music added. The goal of Highlight Trailer Edit is suitable for marketing and promotion on the web. There is an additional cost of S$800 per edited video.
- Can you deliver the videos in different format instead of DVDs?
- By default, videos are delivered in regular DVD formats. Any other formats required, eg WMV, AVI or MP4, will be considered as additional job under video format conversion. You may also request the video to be delivered in one format of your choice in place of DVD.
We recommend these extra steps for faster delivery:
- Before the actual lecture day, determine and let us know the title text and credit text for insertion into the videos (usually the same as in your final program flyer).
- On the actual lecture day and after every lecture session, tell us the small parts you want removed, other than the usual obvious live on-stage hiccups which we will remove.
- On or before the actual lecture day, let us know how you want to segmentize the video. Usually by timing or topic.
