1. What are TOD video files?

A “.TOD” file is a high definition digital video format used by JVC camcorders.

2. How to play TOD video files on a PC?

Transfer your TOD files from your JVC camcorder to your PC hard disk via USB cable.

Convert your TOD files into MPG files and use Windows Media Player to play the MPG videos.

There is no need for any special video player.

3. How to convert a TOD file to an MPG file?

A TOD file is actually an MPG file.

Just rename the file by changing “.TOD” to “.MPG”.

Windows Media Player will now recognize the MPG video files and play them normally.

4. What software can edit a TOD video file?

Many video editing software cannot recognize a TOD video file yet, but I have used 2 that can.
Corel VideoStudio and Sony Vegas Pro.  Get them, forget the others!.

5. How to convert TOD files to a playable DVD?

The easiest and best software to convert TOD files to a DVD is the Corel VideoStudio.  Try it, you will like it!

6. How to convert TOD files to AVI, WMV, MOV, MP4 and more?

The most flexible software I know that can do that is the Sony Vegas Pro.  Really.

I hope that answers most of your JVC “.TOD” problems.

Write your question below if you have another TOD problem.
